I haven't posted in ages - seems like most of my time is spent crocheting or reading crochet emails (me thinks I'm on too many lists!). I've made hats - for our pastor's wife and their daughter the Navy pilot, for a new baby, and for me ;-) - and am still plugging away on my first modular crochet sweater. I didn't finish it to wear this winter (had to frog half the sweater twice!) but will have it for next…
I've also got my first pay gig - a request for baby items for a shower. I already had a stroller-size ripple blanket in Caron SS Brights (not the real color names, but gold, hot pink, carmine and lavender), and I made a sweater (papaya with white trim). How exciting! Have to weave ends in tonight and the buyer will pick up tomorrow. I showed her the work when I gave her my prices to make sure she liked them.
Also, my mom wore the LB Incredible mini-shawl I made for her to a fine arts "outing" a few weeks ago and everyone raved about it - one lady said she had purchased something like it recently but Mom's was much prettier. How gratifying to hear that people appreciate crochet!
Will try to take photos of some recent work, but I still have photos to download to PC from before Christmas - another area I'm lagging way behind in!

Deb, thanks for the comment on my blog. Now it's my turn. I made the coasters, following the direction of one of our other members of (one of my) groups. It was an Annie's Attice Free Pattern of the Day that was for trivets, using 2 strands together. I just used a smaller hook and one strand of pearle cotton for the white ones and peaches & cream cotton for the colored ones!
