Very last minute birthday gifts...

So, we have this friend who called a couple of days ago to invite us to his daughter's 7th birthday party last night. Wanting to be frugal and honor my commitment to use up my stash, I decided to make her present instead of buying. Unfortunately, I didn't decide this until yesterday morning. I already had a pair of white socks, so I trimmed those in the NoBo silver/white fun fur - no big deal, quick and easy. Then I thought of doing an earwarmer headband, so I found this pattern Textured Winter Headband and made it out of white Sugar 'n' Cream baby cotton and trimmed it in the same fun fur. This was done mostly on breaks at work and driving to lunch, finished trimming when I got home around 3:30 p.m. Finally, I used a nice blue/green/purple Sugar 'n' Cream WW cotton to make one of Dot's Little Ditty Bags and stashed a pack of gum inside. Finished and wrapped everything just in time to drive to the party. Good for future reference to know these are things that work up quickly, but maybe I'll just plan better next time...
