Welcome home

I'm back from a week of training in Dayton, Ohio. What did I love about this trip?

  • Dayton, Ohio - what an interesting city, and the downtown area was attractive and welcoming.

  • United Airlines - the friendliest airline I've flown.

  • Downtown Doubletree in Dayton - very comfortable, very accommodating.

  • The people of Dayton - in an entire week, I never encountered one rude or unfriendly person.

  • Sinclair Community College - Dayton Campus - beautiful facility, well managed, staff who seem to really love their work.

  • Room service!!!

  • The little grocery store in the block next to the Doubletree on Third Street.

  • ESI International, the company that provided the training I attended, and the instructor - Ron Whitehead (with war stories as interesting as the training itself).

  • Navy pilots, two of whom attended the ESI training.

  • The other folks in the class, from Cincinnati Insurance, Marathon Oil, GSA in San Diego, and Battelle.

Boy, am I GLAD to be home! Thanks, Mom & Dad, for the ride to and from the airport to save me from the usually awful shuttle parking experience! I'm excited to start implementing some of the things I learned but most of all I'm excited to be back with my wonderful husband and my regular old life...
